This is 3850 coming off the line at Indy. Looked good here, but all was not well........ Had to do something with stripes on drivers side so went with a new look. You really can't see body work real well, but this is the side that was crushed. Another view Another view.

Another view. Start of repairs for 3850. It could've been a lot worse than this, but I got lucky. Feel very fortunate nothing worse happened, and I learned a few things about racing. It's not a joke out there, better know what you are doing. I didn't. This is the welding of the quarter panel to try to salvidge that part of 3850. Again, it came out pretty nice. This picture shows body work and again, it came out pretty nice I think.

This was totally crushed flat against the body from impact as the guys at Indy saw. It was heated and re-formed to look as new. That is one very expensive replacement, so was very glad he could salvage it. View of what 3850 looked like ready for paint. Not a pretty picture at this time. Does all come out pretty nice after paint is laid. This is the last step to putting bee back together. It all turned out pretty well. I'm happy with it and they did it w/o any new parts. This was not an insurance claim, so they were gentle with me. American racing Magnets. New 5 days beefore the Indy trip. Center hub crushed while racing Sat.
