For those that want to do this , all you need is a 18mm socket and driver.

Crawl under the middle of the truck , turn the torsion bar bolts down ( counter clockwise ) a bit. I did 5 full turns for about 1 - 1.5 inches. If you decide to back them out more, make sure you dont go all the way or if you do, tighten it up atleast one full turn.

Hope it helps.

those with 4x4's i wouldnt really suggest it due to some people have experienced major problems in the front end lowering it that way. if the angle is too great the bushing wont support it and it will do some damage. although i cant confirm this 100% im just warning you before you try this. ask brian aka Slammed1....he will know for sure. U wont have a problem unless you lower it like 4 or 5 " like the guy with the HUGE drop . It rides great and causes no problems with 5 full turns.

are you not then effectively taking the spring rate out of your torsion bars? Dropping the front of my BEE is not worth making it even more "wallowy".

Im not saying you have to do it , just that you can do it. I drive mine hard and noticed no difference before and after. Do what you want with it.

"Do what you want with it"

yeah, I will. I will also expeirement with taking preload out of the torsion bars, I've thought about it before but the only thing that has kept from doing it is that this is what I've done to my Challenger to make sit the "way I want it". While it looks good, it has no weight transfer and a really sloppy feel. Will the Ram be different? I dont know, i will try it though. I try not to drive mine TOO hard, that's what the stroked E-body is for Twisted Evil

I pm'd Brian (slammed1) yesterday and he said to lower the front either adjust the torsion bars or use drop spindels. So if he is saying that I would say go for it. He did say the spindels were better but more costly.

Yeah-

Spindles are the way to go. I have a set now. Not for sale but for install.

Now, who wants to help on the install?

If you do this be sure to get an alignment after it!
This mod will change the camber and could wear the inside edge of the tires!
