If you go to Crutchfields website and enter your truck information they will give you recomendations on what you need (tools, adapters ect.)
that is where I buy all of my audio and video products.

that clutchfield website recommended a jensen vm9214 flip out. it gave 2 options for 2004 1500. 4 speakers. and 7 speakers. but the jenson fits both.

the amount of speakers doesn't have anything to do with the deck. that is just going to tell you which wiring harness you will need to make it work.

From what I understand, you have to wire the radio to the emergency brake so it won't play dvd's and other things while the vehicle is in motion. However, there's a wiring trick to bypass that so that it will play while the vehicle is in motion. Who knows that trick?

all you gotta do is wire the parking wire to any ground and your set. this will disable the safety feature and actually allow you to play videos on the go!
