Has anyone ever tryed to install or has a Jensen VM9214 in there bee. crutchfield said there might be a problem with the flip out screen hitting the dash. Thank You

I can see that happening if the screen doesn't push out far enough before flipping upward. There is a lip of the dash that hangs over the radio bezel. I trust crutchfield. I've used them for many years and they know their stuff. If they say it could hit, then most likely it will hit unless you do an intall modification like some sort of spacer to slighlty push the entire unit outward. The only bad thing is the radio won't be as flush to the bezel.

i have a jensen vm9213. it does hit the dash but only when the screen is open beyond 90 degrees. heres some pics.... its not a problem, the screen is clearly visible.

Meangreen has your answer. Also it will depend on what dash kit you use to mount the deck. Some kits will set the deck back into the dash more then others.

i got my kit @ walmart. its 20 bucks... so if you want the 9214, go to walmart and get that kit!
