Hello, I've been lurking for a while now and finally decided to sign up. I've got #3948 '04 black 2WD, around 66,000 miles on her, I'm the 3rd owner and have had her almost 2 years . The previous owner had his fun with her and she is a little rough around the edges (gives me an excuse to fix her up and have my way with her Laughing ) . He drove her up the ALCAN from Vegas and she spent a couple of years in bush Alaska on the Iditarod Trail before I saved her. There are a few other Bees here in South Central AK, the weather has been gorgeous lately and all the bees are out in force, seems like I've seen a couple a day everyday this past week.

Welcome! Love how you did the picture. It's poster worthy! What photo program did you use to do it?

Welcome!
There are at least 4 other yellow rumble bees in my area. 2 are mint like mine, one is a daily driver who tows a boat on the weekends, and the last one looks so beat and has never been washed.
Only saw 1 other black bee and it was used as a work truck.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I don't have much for pics, I have been planning on taking some more this summer. I used Photomatix on the photo from my first post, its multiple exposures and tonemapped to get the effect.

welcome, not sure why there are 2wd trucks in Alaska. At least you got the 2nd fastest color.

Yeah, I gave my buddy that I bought it from a ton of crap when he brought it up from Vegas, and got some crap in return when I bought it. 4wd is for amateurs, tires are what really make a difference IMO. When in Doubt, throttle out. Very Happy She is just a summer rig for the most part now though
