Here is the issue. I let my father borrow my Bee, because he truck kicked the bucket, and he fell on hard times. well long story short he blew it up. I went and got it towed back home today. Need any advice on the cheapest place to buy a engine or if anyone happens to have a engine to get rid of. Thanks in advance.

What is the truck not doing. Instead of an open statement like "blew it up". There maybe other options other than buying a whole new engine.

Sorry to hear about your Bee. That really sucks.

How do you blow up a lightly modded 5.7 Hemi engine? Shocked

looked like he ran it out of oil. Anyways got a hard knocking going on. Got engine man coming out to hear it tonight. But it want crank, supposedly the knock sensors are stopping it from running. It turns over and as soon as you let off the ignition it stops running. So believe i'm checking everything out first, but if it is like it looks; I will need a new engine. So just looking around for one. Also need any good upgrade suggestions if I have to replace it. I will be changing out cams, and etc.

If you have to rebuild then I would go with a comp 260 and 6.1 valve springs. Good cam that will work with factory computer setup or a upgraded tune without custom tuning. If you have to take the heads off, go ahead and get them ported and polished. The Cherry on top would be to get some shorty headers. They bolt right up and require no mods to the exhaust system so you do not have to pay someone to mod you exhaust up like longtubes. This will give you a nice low end bump!

Here in the Atlanta Area people sell 5.7 all day on craigslist. Other than that check out copart, advance auto, ebay.

Is the Check Engine light on? If so do the quick three on/off ignition cycle to get the code to come up on the dash if you do not have a ODB scanner.

Post the fault code if you do have a check engine light...
