So I've been thinking that a set of brushed aluminum finished SRT10 repro rims and an SRT Venom hood would look excellent on my black bee. The rims are easy to find but as for the hood I've been unable to find anything for sale, just shared pics. Does anyone know a current vendor for these or where I can look to find one. Also any idea on a cost?

That hood has been out for a while. They are working or actually finished a new mold. They started a waiting list about 2 years ago and I said F it and got a OEM srt10 hood. There is a guy in my car club with the first Gen. Call them and put your name on the list.

No problem and post up a picture if you get it when they start selling it. I also wanted one with no vents and they said they are only producing with vents this time.

Yeah the first Gen was known not to fit and required heavy bodywork on top of what you already paid. It was said the 2nd Gen would be better... I have seen a first Gen in person and the structure is amazing but the fit is very lacking. He showed me how much work had to be done. If I remember he said he was out of about $1200 for the hood and that included purchase and bodywork. This is the main reason why I went ahead and got the OEM SRT hood because I was not too optimistic for the 2nd Gen on fitting.

So Nordwhal, keep KillerB4649 statement in mind. You might want to also ask venom about the fit on this new release before you buy it.

It's a nice looking hood but if your going to throw down that kinda money, i'd rather go the route I did and get an SRT10 hood...yes alot of trucks have them but that's why you paint it the way you want & make it unique.
