I apologize for asking a question that many of you already know the answer to or have asked already in this forum but I am a bit curious... I see the reference to "second swarm" are these the 2005 model year or did they actually make a 'second swarm' in 2004?
I know there has been a much heated discussion concerning actual production numbers for the Rumble Bee's and was wondering the actual number produced myself but have seen the numbers posted here. I never really was too concerned with the actual number produced but was more curious to know just out of curiosity.
I completely understand being angry about inflated production numbers especially those of you that paid 'premiums' or dealers that refused to budge off MSRP because it was a 'limited edition' of 3700. The dealer I bought from did not know the exact numbers of production when I purchased my 2004 (#3773 black 4X2) so I do not feel that I was taken advantage of by the dealer in any way.
However, if DC published a specific number of 3700 to be produced I agree that some sort of restitution or rebate on a future purchase should be given to those customers who were mislead by the collect ability and limited nature of the rumble bee's. You can include me on any petition and offer this as my official signature to any petition to DC.
From some of the posts on this site I think that alot of you guys were in fact mislead. I was extremely lucky from what I have seen. I purchased my 2004 in Sept of 2004 right before the 2005 Rumble Bee's were coming in and the dealer was very anxious to unload the 2004 Rumble Bee which I purchased. The sticker price of mine was $32,500. I haggled them down to $28,000 out the door all taxes, fees and finance charges included plus they paid off my old 2001 Dakota ($6800). So if you include the $6800 payoff and subtract the finance charges I ended paying roughly $19,500 and it only had 24 miles on it. I thought at the time I got a good deal but after reading some of the stories here I realize I stole the truck from them.
Sorry for the long ass post but I wanted to voice my opinions on the production numbers and share my purchasing experience from the dealer.
It's good to be a new member and I look forward to hearing all of he members views, opinions and seeing owner mods of their Rumble Bee's. |

I have the same question as SWARM and did the numbers start over for 2005 or did the start with #0001 for 2004 and continue into 2005?

OK GUYS AND GALS . THIS THE FINAL PRODUCTION NUMBERS AND THIS INFO IS RIGHT FROM THE PRODUCTION MANAGER OF RUMBLE BEE RAM 1500 DODGE TRUCKS.
US TOTALS = 4656 2004 RUMBLEBEES
CANADA TOTALS = 202 2004 RUMBLEBEES
US TOTALS = 4649 2005 RUMBLEBEES
CANADA TOTALS = 525 2005 RUMBLEBEES
THE TOTAL BEES MADE IN 2004 IS 4858
THE TOTAL BEES MADE IN 2005 IS 5174
NO BEES EXPORTED FOR SALE BY CDX . ALL WERE PURCHASED FROM US OR CANADIAN TOTALS.
ANY NUMBERS OVER THESE ARE NOT ORIGINAL BEES PRODUCED BY DODGE .
SO NOW YOU CAN SAY THAT YOUR BEE IS # ---- OF 4858 IN O4
OR YOU CAN SAY THAT YOUR BEE IS # ---- OF 5174 IN 05
NOW I HOPE THIS ENDS THE ALL THE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE TOTAL NUMBER OF BEES MADE . _________________ LOUIE------

FIRST OF ALL , THE NUMBER OF BEES MADE ARE AS STATED . THE NUMBERS THAT ARE ON SOME OF YOUR BEES ARE OVER IN 2004 AND 2005 BECAUSE OF THE DASH PLATES THAT WERE DAMAGED AT THE VENDOR THAT PUT THE BEES TOGETHER. I 'M SORRY THAT I DIDN'T POST THAT IN MY OTHER POST BUT HERE IS THE INFO ON THAT, THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 27 NUMBERS THAT WERE DAMAGED IN THE ORIGINAL BEE COUNT AND AT THAT TIME THERE WERE NO DUPLICATES MADE . THEY DIDN'T MAKE ANY DUPS UNTIL STEVE POPPS HAD HIS MADE AS IT WAS MISSING ON HIS BEE AND IT TOOK SEVERAL MONTH FOR THEM TO MAKE A DUPLICATE PLATE. BUT THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF BEES MADE ARE CORRECT. SOME OF YOU MAY HAVE A NUMBER THAT IS OVER 4858 IN 2004 AND 5174 IN 2005 . NOW YOU CAN GET A DUPLICATE MADE OF YOUR NUMBER FROM YOUR DEALER . A LIST OF THE MISSING NUMBERS ARE BEEING TRACED NOW SO WE WILL KNOW WITCH NUMBERS ARE NOT ORIGINAL BEES. I HOPE THIS ANSWERS ANY MORE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE NUMBERS. _________________ LOUIE------
