From time to time, the site will not respond.. I immediately ping the server I am provided the IP address of the server.. However, during the times it is down, it points to another IP.. Hence me saying.. "Notice the two different IPs"

If you haven't experienced any down time or site outages.. Then you wouldn't have any valuable input.. I am trying to figure out if it is an ISP issue, or an actual host issue.. If it is a ISP Issue, I can figure out from there.. Host, can't do anything..

Dodgeboy.net is similar (Though I never pinged in an outage) and has a 96 IP.

Hmmm.. Then perhaps it isn't my ISP.. I hate internet traffic.. LOL. Thank you sir(s).

The only reason I was concerned is because not one person has ever said "The site was down for X amount of minutes". Which lead me to believe perhaps the issue was localized to only me and my ISP. <Wipes Brow>

Well I always ping a site when it goes down to see it is down..

In the command Prompt
Windows XP
(Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Click on Command Prompt)

Windows Vista
(Start -> type CMD in the Start Search)
Code:
ping www.rumblebee.org

I have never seen it show a correct address then point to a complete different address when pinged. Granted, more often then not you have different name servers.. But when pinged.. its a 216 address.. I was confused.. Laughing

If you go to Start / Run and type "cmd" Enter, it will bring up the command prompt.

From there, you can type the command "ping [any web address]"

Cool! Wish I knew what I am reading. When you ping a site are you doing it to see if its sending and your receiving packets? I'm not very good with all tech. stuff of comp. Sad

Thanks!

BTW mine is a 208 address. Confused
