We had that problem on the GTX once and I got PO'd and hit the switch. It has worked fine every since. So I would guess it's a switch problem.

mine does the same thing, SO freakin annoying, some times mine won't turn on at all unless i put them on full blast.

I was coming out of work yesterday and i put my key in the door to unlock it and turned the key and my wipers went across teh window.

I was like what the #^&$ Confused

my wipers have a mind of their own. i will put them on the lowest setting and they will go 3 times in a row, then not go for a couple minutes, then go 2 times in a row, then return to normal, then...you get the idea. i took it into the dealer while still under warrenty...they couldnt duplicate it. and get this...it only happens when its raining steady outside. i tried to duplicate it with the hose set on gental shower...wont work. the dealer tried the hose thing to. i just said screw it...but it bugs the crap out of me.

Mine does this too and so do a lot of people with our era Rams. I think it's a pretty common glitch for these trucks!

My intermittent wipers are intermittently intermittent, too. I took it to the dealership - no fault found. Then I took it back when it was raining and acting up. She must have known she was in trouble, because she started acting right when the mech was watching - again no fault found. I decided to leave well enough alone. I figure they'd induce more problems trying to fix it. A minor annoyance - it mostly works. So I consider it one of her "personality traits" and let her bee.

My wipers were doing the same thing. I made a guess that the intermitting part of the wiper motor was faulty, because I could hear the relay clicking for triggering the intermittent wiper cycle. Changed out the wiper motor and pivot assy and, viola, the problem has not reared its ugly head again. Been workiing fine for 30,000 miles now.
