Well man cave is done other than waiting on one extra leather chair that is supposed to bee here by the end of August.
Bee has new camper shell and stripe extension on the way from Tony. Also finally fixing the scuffed up tail light area where I hit my daughters truck with my bee. It will be repainted on the 27th and the stripes will be put on.
The vette got the dvd player and rear spoiler. Getting a price for Chrome ZR1 wheels for it. Then it will bee done. No plans to mod the engine or suspension. I am leaving it stock other than the couple of appearance mods.
So yesterday I got a permit to double the size of my front porch so we can put a swing on it. it is 4x19 and will be 10x19 feet.
After porch is done I will be getting the roof replaced with 30 year timberline roof. this one is only costing me my deductable. State Farm is replacing the Roof, gutters and all new window screens.
After pourch and roof I have a contract to have vinyl siding put on the house. thinking a nice grey with white trim. I want to keep it a color that will be easy to sell if I decide to sell it in a few years.
My bonus check and my savings will bee just about gone after the house project, but all projects are being paid for in cash. Not getting much interst leaving the money in the bank.
I will take pictures of house project. _________________ John

I actually thought about a very light yellow but I want to pick a very neutral color so it can sell easy if I decide on a retirement house. _________________ John

Hey John, just a few pointers on the new roof part. Read your contract and make sure they are going to replace all flashings. the roof you have now is a standard shingle and has a 5" exposure and the new shingles are 5 5/8" so the old flashings wont line up to the new roof the right way.
trust me i see it done all the time. with all the insurance work done in the past year my phone rings off the hook with this problem every time it rains here. the insurance company dont care if it's done right or not. most just use the cheapest they can find and the flashings are left to cut cost even though its the most important part of the roof when it comes to keeping the water out of your house. if you would like to talk about this more shoot me a pm. _________________ *** Tracy ***

Hi Tracy,
I do not have a contract. the two people doing my porch are my next door neighbor and his brother. they are both carpenters/electricians.
Jeremy has been my neighbor and friend for several years. I am 'trusting' him to do a great job. Thanks very much for that information.
They are doing my porch and then Jeremy is working with his life long buddy who owns a roofing company to do my roof after the porch is done.
they are all family and neighbors. I know that can become an issue but Jeremy was layed off when he broke his collar bone and this gives him a couple of jobs. He will do everything he can to do it right.

Hi Tracy again,
I am buying all material for the porch project. This is not an insurance job. Only the roof is an insurance job. I am really greatful for you posting. thanks for any input. I did not know about the difference in roof shingles.
thanks again.
this is what makes these kind of forums very nice. _________________ John
