My daughter finally heard results for her last byopsy and she is cancer free for now after two cancer surgeries!! Very Happy Cool

I asked her if she wanted to go to dinner to celebrate or go to the track since it was a nice cool lower 90's type of day with heat index at only about 98 degrees. The heat index has been well into the 110's for the last two weeks. so 90's felt cool. Very Happy

She picked the track. wonder where she gets that from. Laughing

Well I was going to wait until fall when the temps go down but figured what the heck.

Now on the challenger boards, members with the 392 are posting any where from 12.4's to 13.2's with speeds ranging any where from 107 up to 113 is the highest I have seen for a factory stock 2011 392 SRT challenger.

So a hot day and made 5 passes. 3 passes were 13.08, 13.20 and 13.01 all right at 108mph.

I was not happy with the times and was hoping to get better times then my 2007 vette which did a best of 12.99@110 totally stock.

Last two runs when it got down to a cool 88 degrees and letting the car sit for an hour to cool off I got one run at 12.9 @108mph (lost that time slip Embarassed )

My best run was a 12.939@109.93 mph.
My 60' for that run was a 1.948. (other runs the 60' was 2.0-2.1s)
best reaction time for the day was a 0.054 and the worst was a 0.175

I will go back in the fall when the temps are in the 60's and see what she will do, I am expecting 12.6-12-7 range totally stock.

Cristina got a grat picture of Savanah watching me run.

John, that is good news about your daughter and may she have many more cancer free years. I have a son in law that completed his treatments last year and is also cancer free for the time being. When we put things into perspective, everything else pales in comparison of importance to a persons health.

That being said, congratulations on going to the track, I am sure you had a pretty good time, love the pictures. I am sure you will see improvements when we cool down this fall. I am hoping that I eventually get my Cobra to a track just to see what she will do. superkewl

That is awesome news about your daughter John. She is a walking, talking miracle brother.
Those are pretty good time times considering the hot weather.

Dad's Toy, That is truely a bit of GREAT news! Dancing We will continue to remember her in our prayers, Pray Pray God has her in his hands and WILL look over her. Angel Hope the good news gives her renewed hope also, young people shouldn't have to deal with things like that! Shame on you Like mentioned, those times are nice for stock and these unbareable temps! d'oh! I guess the weight to HP ratio is pretty close to your vette. Super Bout time we get some nice fast toys straight from Dodge. You get a few preformance mods on that bad boy and your going to have one nice looking rocket. Got Nitrous? lol. coolup Sounds like you guys had a good time. Cool loopyblonde-blinking. Hey, even a bad day at the track is better than a finger poke in the eye! LOL......Trust me. poke. Glad things are going better for your family now and hope it stays that way! Enjoy your new ride my friend it's one sweet machine! Very Happy

went back to the track this evening.

temp was right at 80 degrees. last week temps was in the 90's with heat index near 100.

Car definately will get faster with cooler temps.

started this evening out with 3 passes in the 12.9's. let it sit and temps dropped to 78 degrees and got 2 passes in the 12.8 range

best run was 12.827@110.94 - 1.929 60' 392 A5 stock

not bad for this big heavy fat car. This old guy is enjoying this car.

yup, pretty amazing at how fast this challenger is. it weighs 1000 pounds more than the C6 vette and yet its faster. have not dynoed it but some of the guys on the challenger boards have dynoed their 392's stock and put down 430-440rwhp. thats close to 500hp at the flywheel.

My C6 was a 2007 which has the LS2 which is a 400hp/400 torque car. the 2008's have the LS3 which is 430hp.

the 392 would e awesome in a 3300 pound car. definately a low 11 second car with no mods.

490 rwhp in a 3700 pound car feels pretty awesome.

Ask me how I know. Laughing
