Howdy all!

So I decided to put my car up for the winter and buy a truck to deal with the snow here in Ohio. My friend owned this truck for 3 years and was about to trade it in. He sold it to me for what they were offering for trade-in so I got a pretty good deal on it. I didn't realize there was such a following on these vehicles!

Anyways, it's right at the 100k miles mark (2005) and I think the only thing he has done to it in the last few years is a power steering pump. Also the exhaust is a new complete Magnaflow system. Is there any other maintenance I should perform right away? Also, I think I'd like to get some step bars for it to make it easier for my wife and daughter to get in and out of it. Preferably black if anyone has any suggestions?

My car (pic posted) is a 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 putting out around 450hp. Airaid CAI and Magnaflow Axlebacks on that, among other things. It only has 25k miles on it so I think I'm going to just park it and only drive it for fun here and there in the summer. The new truck will become my daily driver.

Thanks much and and I look forward to hanging with you all!

ps. I'm having trouble posting pics on here. After I click "Add Attachment" the file uploads then the page just turns white (Google Chrome). I'm going to try adding the pics to my gallery instead.

pss. I guess I can't upload them there either.. Tried using IE also... What a pain!

Welcome!
I would start with fluid changes. Oil, tranny, rear axle.
I use photobucket to post up any pics. Its free and you just paste your link into the post and it will show up.

A Bee and a Mustang, Lucky SOB. Laughing

Very nice rides. thatworks

I just got done putting away my Mustang as well and switched out the summer tires to winter on the Daytona.

An extra set of winter tires (Firestone Winterforce) was the best investment I have ever made for the truck.
With 4x4 and snow tires the Daytona will go anywhere no matter what the conditions.

Where are you located in Ohio?

Welcome to the Hive! It's kind of funny that you bought your Bee for a winter driver when most of our northern members park their Bee's for the season. Very Happy

Is that a 4X4?

I'm in Mid-Ohio near Mansfield. Yeah I have the stock rims and tires for my mustang to sit on for the winter as well.

Welcome! I'm up north also. I ended up parking my 4x4 bee and bought a caddy for winter. How are the rear bed quarters. I see most up here bubbled and rusted.

Yeah there's some bubbling/rusting up above the wheel well on both sides. I was told it's a pretty easy fix though so I think I'm gonna have a buddy come over and tackle that here in a few weeks or so.
