|
|
Hi Guys
This past weekend the latch on my rear sliding window broke. It actually crumbled when I went to open it. Of course it was early enough for me to go to my local Dodge dealer and pick up a replacement part. NOT....so after spending about 15 minutes with the local parts guy at the dealer, he went into the back and brought a latch that "showed should be the part I was requesting" but on a side by side comparison, they are nothing alike. Even trolling online I can't seem to find this part.
here is what it looks like, please let me know what is the correct part number and where can I find such a piece. I am just hoping I do not have to buy the entire replacement sliding glass in order to get the latch.

You can't I tried to find them before. You have to buy the center window section is what I was told. The latch is only available with the window. Total bs setup.

That is what I was afraid of.....so, next question is, now that I may be forced to buy a new window, is there any "Power" sliding window that can be installed in it's place?

No they don't fit our year. They changed them so they can be replaced now.

I was scouring the web and came across what looks like the same latch except for a FORD F150. For $13 bucks I figured might be worth a try to see if that will fit. Otherwise I have looked and checked most common MOPAR part places and no one seems to carry the right latch.
Stay tuned
