Just ordered my 6.1 cam and rods, springs, retainers..etc......Art is the man.........Will be done in three weeks.............Cant wait....Will also start with bottle feeding at the same time Wink ...............................God I cant wait................ Very Happy Ordered the Reacon smoked third brake light led as well.

that sounds like a stout combo, so i take it the 5.7s internals are interchangeable with the 6.1s?

I know the cam is.....But not sure about everything else.. I think there pretty identical but the bore.....Someone else may be able to answer this better.

You might want to contact Beast2 on the hemitruckclub site he just finish his this past week and had it at the track with there gtg. There are some issues that he went thru to make things fit. But it did look nice, Good Luck!

I'm pretty sure the crank is the same but I don't know about the rods. Confused

There are a few on this board that did the cam swap.....I think only Sandee had a problem with a spring, and gabe had to take his heads off because of keepers....But other than that they start up and run fine from what I've heard....... Wink

Any horse numbers from this? I got a 70 Fairlane I'm selling and when I get rid of it I think this is what I'm gonna do.

So should I get the 6.1 heads or are there others that are better???? Someone help.....While its apart might as well do the heads..........
